The sculptures are made via a process of direct carving, from which a set of moulds are taken. Several plies of unidirectional prepreg carbon-fibre cloth are then laminated into the mould. A tailored vacuum-bag surrounds the sculpture which is then cured under pressure at an elevated temperature.
